
What is TOEFL: Test of English as a Foreign Language
TOEFL is used as a prerequisite for admission into colleges and universities where English is required.
Many government, licensing, and certification agencies as well as exchange and scholarship programs use TOEFL scores to evaluate English proficiency.
TOEFL Test Content
The TOEFL® Internet-based test emphasizes integrated skills and measures all language skills. The content of the test is authentic and the test evaluates the language used in everyday, real academic settings.
The test has four sections:
- Reading: Measures the ability to understand academic reading matter.
- Listening: Measures the ability to understand English as it is used in colleges and universities.
- Speaking: Measures the ability to speak English.
- Writing: Measures the ability to write in a way that is appropriate for college and university course work.

Target Language has put together a no-nonsense preperatory course based on analysis of the language tested and language skills needed for TOEFL.
Course modules necessary for study would be determined following an English evaluation using TOEFL type questions. |
